Apply for Colorectal Fellowship

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Colon and Rectal Surgery Residency Program accepts applications through the ERAS website beginning each year in early July. Please check their website for actual dates.

The following documents are needed through ERAS in order to submit your application to our Program Director, Michael J. Snyder, M.D., for review:
  • ERAS application
  • Photograph
  • Personal Statement
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • ABSITE Scores
  • USMLE or equivalent
  • Medical School Transcripts
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation
  • Dean´s Letter from medical school
  • ECFMG Certificate-if applicable

Foreign Medical Graduates

Each applicant must be board eligible with the American Board of Surgery, and have attended an ACGME accredited general surgery program. The University of Texas-Houston accepts J-1 visas. All original ECFMG documents with translations are required after matching with our program.
